Brigette Bowler, D.C.
Upper Cervical Chiropractor
Founder, Structural Hygiene for The Developing Human
Brigette Bowler, D.C. earned a B.A. and teaching certification from Rutgers University in 1983 and served as Chairman for the Board of NJ Public Interest Research Group. Following graduation, she taught Eighth Grade Science in a NJ public school.
In 1985 she entered Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina where she created a coalition of students that reinstituted the course work for the Blair technique, a specialized upper cervical chiropractic technique. She was awarded her Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1988.
Dr. Bowler established Essential Chiropractic in Ferndale, MI which has been caring for families in a subluxation based chiropractic model and has served three generations. Her cash practice has grown on word of mouth to more than 12,000 patients in 25 years. She attributes her personal and professional success to her sense of integrity and being able to enrich the lives of others by minimizing the need for office visits through effective chiropractic adjustment called Hole-in-One (HIO) and maximizing philosophical education.
Emily Towers, D.C
Upper Cervical Chiropractor
Emily Towers first met Brigette as a child, and has grown up with her head on straight. Before finding Structural Hygiene, however, she suffered migraines at a very young age. This experience ignited a passion to serve through true healthcare, and after graduating Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2004 she immediately enrolled in Upledger’s Craniosacral classes. In 2010, she shadowed Brigette’s practice for a life-changing year, only to find the missing piece she had not know she was looking for: upper cervical specific chiropractic is fundamental to lasting improvements in health. This foundation allowed Emily to navigate Sherman College of Chiropractic, with the end goal of practicing Structural Hygiene for the Developing Human®.
Timothy Towers
Licensed Massage Therapist, trained in Upledger Cranioscral Therapy and Certified Zero Balance practitioner
Timothy Towers was introduced to the practice when he was first adjusted. He experienced the HIO model to be most effective paired with bodywork, as held his first adjustment almost 10 years. Because of this, Tim was interested in joining the practice as a body worker.
Tim attended Carolina School of Massage and is a licensed massage therapist, who practices Upledger Craniosacral Therapy and is a certified Zero Balance practitioner.
Tim and Emily are married with three children.
